How are entries organised?

Entries are filed under one of 22 subject accounts, each covering a defined area of web activity. Within each account, entries are ordered by the date they were posted to the ledger. Navigation by account is available from the directory's main listing.

How do I submit my site?

Navigate to the subject account that best matches your site, or go to the submission page directly. Enter your URL and any required details, then submit. Entries are reviewed and posted to the ledger once approved.

How long does review take?

Most entries are reviewed and posted within a short period of receipt. The directory processes submissions in the order they are received. Approved entries appear in the relevant account once the posting is confirmed.

Can I submit a site to more than one account?

Each domain may appear only once in the ledger. If your site covers multiple subjects, file it under the account that best matches its primary content. Duplicate submissions to different accounts are not accepted.

Are all types of websites accepted?

Compendium16 reviews submissions across all 22 subject accounts. Sites are assessed against a consistent set of criteria: they must be active, clearly categorised, and free of content that would render them ineligible. The ledger covers most areas of the open web.
